Archive: ‘Events’

The first, but not the last

Monday, June 6th, 2011

On 18-22 of May the festival “Afrodays” was going on in Vilnius, Lithuania.

I am very proud of being a part of this culture festival.

I am happy I had a chance to bring something to create a different image of Africa: Africa full of colours, good mood, happy people.

Here are some moments during to the opening of the exhibition “Faces of Africa”. Thanks to my friend photographer Birutė Vijeikienė for the pictures.

These pictures were made in Rwanda by other authors.

Thank you, my friends, who came to the opening, and later visited the exposition.

Sunday’s activities

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010

There is a tradition in Lomé, Togo  to spend Sunday’s afternoon at the beach. Of course, nobody is laying and trying to get suntan. The beach was full of people. I saw many photographers who take pictures of the people.

There was a quite big group of young people. They were singing and dancing. It was really impressive how free they were feeling.

Others just were enjoying the company of their friends or family

On working day of a week the beach looks completely different. But I will show you another day.
